Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Post Markdown, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you may not use the service. Post Markdown is a markdown storage and delivery platform designed for developers, agents, and applications to store and retrieve markdown content via a web interface and API.

Description of Service

Post Markdown provides:

  • Markdown document storage and hosting
  • Public and private document endpoints
  • API access to raw markdown content
  • Structured metadata headers over HTTP
  • Authentication via Google OAuth
  • Account and workspace-based document management

The service is hosted on Vercel infrastructure and may rely on third-party services for authentication, hosting, analytics, and delivery.

Eligibility

To use Post Markdown, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
  • Use a valid Google account for authentication

If you are using Post Markdown on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Accounts & Authentication

Post Markdown uses Google OAuth for authentication. By signing in with Google:

  • You authorize us to access basic account information such as your name, email address, and profile image.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
  • You agree that access to Post Markdown is tied to your Google identity.

We are not responsible for issues arising from compromised Google accounts.

User Content

You retain ownership of all markdown content you upload, create, or manage through Post Markdown. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, transmit, serve, cache, and distribute your content as needed.

Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your content does not violate applicable laws, infringe intellectual property rights, contain malicious code, or be inappropriate for public or private distribution as configured.

Public Content & API Access

Post Markdown is designed to expose markdown content through simple HTTP endpoints. If you choose to make content public:

  • It may be accessible to anyone with the URL
  • It may be indexed by search engines
  • It may be accessed by automated systems, AI agents, and third-party tools
  • It may be cached or replicated outside our control

You are responsible for understanding the implications of publishing content publicly.

Prohibited Use

You agree not to use Post Markdown to:

  • Upload or distribute illegal content
  • Store malware, exploits, or harmful scripts
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts
  • Abuse, overload, or disrupt the service (including API abuse)
  • Scrape private or restricted content without authorization
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Use the service for spam or unsolicited mass distribution

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Third-Party Services

Post Markdown relies on third-party services including:

  • Google OAuth for authentication
  • Vercel for hosting and infrastructure

Your use of these services may also be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party service outages, changes, or failures.

Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee continuous availability, error-free operation, uninterrupted API access, or compatibility with all clients or agents. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time with or without notice.

Data Storage & Retention

We store User Content and account information as needed to operate the service. We may retain backups for a limited period, remove content that violates these Terms, or delete inactive accounts after extended inactivity.

You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important content.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Post Markdown at any time if you violate these Terms, your usage poses security or legal risk, or required by law or regulatory authority.

User Termination

You may stop using the service at any time by disconnecting your account. Upon termination, your right to use the service will cease, but some content may persist in backups or public endpoints.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Post Markdown is provided 'as is' and 'as available.' We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:

  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Availability or uptime
  • Accuracy or reliability of content delivery

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Post Markdown and its operators shall not be liable for loss of data, loss of revenue or profits, service interruptions, security breaches outside our reasonable control, or damages arising from use of the API or public content.

Your use of the service is at your own risk.

Changes to Service or Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When changes are made, we will update the 'Last Updated' date. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service operator is based, without regard to conflict of law principles.
